Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father left the family when she was young. Brink was just 14 when she was pregnant and she dropped out of the school. In order to support her family, Brink relocated with a mutual friend and worked at the local laundromat. Brink's first band, Pulse from Albany New York was established in 1995. They mostly played local performances for bands like Coal Chamber and Sevendust. The members, however, later disbanded. The singer relocated into Los Angeles in 2002, in her late 20s in search of a break. In the process of searching for a band, Brink was working in shops as well as in cafes and in bars. Then, two years later, she met now-band member Chris Howorth at an audition. Howorth did not like her performance because she was female. After hearing her perform the show, he changed his mind. Along with drummer Jeff Fabb they formed the band they called Dying Stars. They were later joined by the guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. The name of the band became In This Moment after two shows.
